We hope that this email finds you doing well and staying healthy. We have missed seeing you at the field, and hope that you have been staying busy and safe at home. We appreciate your patience as we have navigated through this trying time.
This email is to inform you that we have to officially cancel our Spring 2020 season. With the current local and State Restrictions we are unable to reopen and complete our Spring 2020 season.
FVBSA will be issuing a registration credit of unused registration funds towards the Fall 2020 or the Spring 2021 season. This credit will appear on your FVBSA account when you register for the next season of play. We recognize that many players have commitments in the fall, so the credit will be available for one year. As for players that are aging out of the league, they will receive a partial refund. Exact amounts of credits/refunds have been determined based on funds still available after preseason expenses have been paid for uniforms, field usage, umpires, background checks, etc…..that the league has incurred for the season.
As for snack bar deposit checks, they will be destroyed. For those that purchased the snack bar buyout option, you will have the option to have your funds refunded or donated to the league. You will need to complete the snack bar buyout refund request form using the link provided below by June 20th. We appreciate everyone that signed up and helped in the snack bar during the first few weeks of our season.
Our goal to open Registration for the Fall 2020 season is in late June after all credits and refunds have been processed. We will send registration information via email, and our social media platforms. Again we ask for your continued patience as our volunteers work to close out Spring 2020 and apply credits and issue all refunds prior to opening the next registration.

FVBSA SPRING 2020 CANCELLATION FAQ:
REGISTRATION CREDIT AMOUNT
50% of the Spring 2020 Registration Fee paid. This will vary based on initial actual Spring registration fees paid per player.
HOW WILL THE CREDIT BE GIVEN?
Credits will be added to your League Account before Fall 2020 registration opens.
WHY ONLY A PARTIAL CREDIT?
FVBSA is able to offer partial credits as the league has already incurred many upfront operating costs for the Spring 2020 season. Expenses include: Uniforms, Fields, Lights, Player Insurance, Backgrounds Checks, Opening Day, Admin Costs. etc These costs were all calculated and averaged per player giving the final calculation of 50% credit per player.
REFUNDS FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE AGED OUT?
Refunds will be available for players who are no longer eligible to play per our league limits. Refund links will be emailed to our upper division players soon. This form will need to be completed by June 20th.
CAN I DONATE MY CREDIT OR HELP IN ANY WAY?
FVBSA is a 100% Volunteer non-profit 501(c)3. and will gladly accept any donations to our league. Funds are used to provide a safe place for the children in our community to play baseball and softball. If you are interested in donating your spring refund, please fill out this form. You will receive a tax donation letter in the mail shortly after from our Sponsorship Coordinator.
We are also in need of Board Members for the Fall 2020/Spring 2021 Year. We are in unprecedented times and our Volunteers are being stretched beyond our limits. Please consider applying for one of our many open board positions or volunteering to Manage a team for the upcoming seasons. Details to come soon.
We will be working on creative ways to extend advertising and promoting league sponsorships into the next season for those small businesses and companies that sponsored teams during the Spring 2020 season.

SNACK BAR DEPOSIT CHECKS:
No snack bar checks will be cashed. All checks will be shredded to ensure safe physical distancing practices of our volunteers on June 20th.
SNACK BAR BUYOUTS:
If you chose the snack bar buyout option for the Spring 2020 season, a refund link will be emailed out soon. Please complete and submit the form by June 20th.
MANAGER EQUIPMENT COLLECTION:
Equipment Coordinator will be contacting Managers for collection the first weekend of June.
All receipts must be submitted by June 20th. Managers/Team parents will be receiving an email with details.
when does registration open? Spring 2020 Rec Registration is OPEN!
Where are Practices and Games played? All Games and Practices are at our Local Parks in French Valley. Our Home field is Spencer's Crossing Sports Park but we utilize fields as far south as Crown Valley Park and as far north as Abelia Sports Park.
When does Registration Close? Registration closes on Jan 1, 2020 Late Registration will begin on Jan 1st only for Divisions with available space.
When are practices and Games? Practices and Games vary based on the division. Practices are determined on a couple of factors such as Volunteer Coach availability and Field availability. Most Divisions will play one evening during the week and one saturday game. Younger divisions typically play Saturdays Only.
